The student support team are here for you throughout your course and are happy to help over the phone, email or live chat.
Do let them know if you are struggling with your studies, but as you can imagine, they are in high demand, so do allow them some time to get back to you. They aim to return all calls and emails within 24 hours, earlier if they can.

What level of support should I expect to receive?
This is determined by the level of support you require. It is your responsibility to contact Student Support if you have any questions and concerns and they will ensure you receive the necessary guidance.
Can I use the gym facilities outside of course hours?
In some venues yes. Discovery have an agreement with most of the gym facilities we work in whereby a small weekly fee can be paid to gain access to the gym. Please ask your course tutor about this or one of our staff at point of booking.
Do I have to submit my home study worksheets to Student Support?
We recommend that you aim to complete as much of the course work (written units) prior to attending the course.
How do I book a re-sit if I have referred my exam?
To arrange a re-sit please book online on the relevant Discovery Learning pages.
When will we get our exam results?
Usually 4 weeks after your last attendance day. When we receive the results for each group we send a generic email to those who referred and those who passed. If you would like your individual results then please contact us after you have received your results email.
When will I get my certificates?
Discovery Learning certificates should arrive within 2 weeks after full completion of your course, with YMCA Awards taking up to eight weeks to arrive. (Please note we don’t send out any awarding body certificates until full payment has been made).
I am completing my case study for the Level 4 Obesity and Diabetes course, what is the cut off for submitting my case study?
The case study is due 12 weeks after your last day of course attendance.
Are there any specific characteristics to take into consideration when finding a client for my Obesity & Diabetes Case study?
Yes, your chosen candidate will need to have a BMI of 30 or over and no other contra indications to exercise.
If I have already sat and passed the Anatomy and physiology & Nutrition exam at Level 3 do I need to do it again for GP & Exercise Referral?
If you have already sat and passed both exams, you won’t have to sit them again. If you have completed these exams somewhere else you will need to provide your certificates.
