CERTIFICATES AND ACCREDITATIONS
What certificates will I receive?
Upon completion students will receive a Discovery Learning REPS certificate in Kettlebell Instructor Training and awarded 10 REPS points.
Is this course recognised?
Yes all Discovery Learning courses are independently accredited. The Awarding Organisation for this course is Skills Active the Sector Skills Council for Health and Fitness. This means that this course is recognised throughout the UK and your REP’s insurance will cover you to teach this subject.
Kettlebell Instructor Training
This 1 Day Kettlebell Instructor Course is a great introduction for fitness professionals wanting to teach Kettlebell training. It covers all of the Foundation drills (2 Hand Swing, 1 Hand Swing, 1 Hand Snatch, 1 Hand Clean, 1 Hand Press, 1 Hand Squat, 1 Hand Turkish Get Up) plus some progressions/variations of these drills. The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive practical overview for fitness professionals of the background, science and application of Kettlebell training.
What will I learn?
By the end of the course attendees should be able to; list and practically apply the safety considerations of training with a Kettlebell, demonstrate the correct techniques for the foundation Kettlebell exercises (Swings, Snatch, Clean, Squat, Press, Dead lift, Turkish Get Up), list teaching points for each of the foundation drills, Implement progressions, regressions and remedial drills for each of the foundation exercises, design and apply basic Kettlebell training programmes.
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for any fitness professional that hold a level 2 fitness qualification or higher.
What are the pre-requisites?
To be eligible for this course learners must hold a recognised Level 2 fitness qualification and provide a copy of the certificate as proof. A reasonable level of fitness and reading and writing skills is also recommended.
What assessments will I complete?
This course requires 3 hours of pre-reading, followed by a mandatory attendance day with a practical assessment to take place on the day.

Once booked on to the course learners will be given access to the student zone so they can familiarise themselves with the syllabus, they will also given the contact details for our student support team who will assist them with any problems outside of the classroom, and our in house tutors will be there to support you on the day of your course.
