The Level 2 Gym Instructor Course is aimed at those who want to start their career in the fitness industry and by doing so, their first steps after gaining their qualification will be getting acquainted with the gym floor and helping new members become familiar with all the exercise equipment. The newly qualified gym instructors would also design and set new gym programmes for clients as well as making sure that gym members are safe using the gym machines at all times.
The Gym Instructor Course is definitely a stepping stone and most newly qualified students go on to further development by studying to become a personal trainer.
Because this qualification is aimed at those just starting out, previous fitness qualifications are not necessary, but we do require a good command of English (written and spoken), good communication skills and last but not least, determination.
You can choose to study either part-time or full-time. Here’s an overview of these two formats:
Four weeks of home study, followed by 2 weekends of course attendance (W1: Saturday/Sunday; W2:Saturday)
That would mean one weekend of attendance per month. It is possible to combine this with the Level 2 course.
You will attend a Monday and Tuesday or can opt for a Thursday and Friday weekday option (9am-5pm). On the chosen days you will attend for 3 weeks consecutively. For this course we recommend 4 weeks of home studies before the attendance dates, you will have access to our online learning platform where you will be able to view manuals and get better understanding about modules covered on the course as well as all the work that needs to be completed.
This means a three-week Monday to Friday schedule, with study hours from 9AM to 5PM
Please call our friendly course advisers for more information on possible ways to study part-time.
