FAQ's
What level of support should I expect to receive? This is determined by the level of support you require. It is your responsibilty to contact Student Support if you have any questions and concerns and they will ensure you receive the neccessary guidance.
Can I use the gym facilities outside of course hours? No, gym facilities are accessible during learning hours only however the equipment in our classroom (Heston venue) can be used before the scheduled course hours.
Do I have to submit my home study worksheets to Student Support? You can if you wish to gain some feedback but it is purely optional, as long as they are ready by your attendance days that is fine.
How do I book a re-sit if I have referred my exam? You can call us on 0203 145 0188 to arrange a re-sit or book online on the relevant Discovery Learning pages - Theory Re-sit - Practical Re-Sit
When will we get our exam results? Usually 4 weeks after your last attendance day. When we receive the results for each group we send a generic email to those who referred and those who passed. If you would like your individual results then please contact us after you have received your results email.
When will I get my certificates? Discovery Learning certificates should arrive a week after full completion of your course, with CYQ certificates taking up to eight weeks to arrive. (Please note we dont send out any awarding body certificates until full payment has been made).
I am completing my case study for the Level 4 Obesity and Diabetes course, what is the cut off for submitting my case study? The case study is due 12 weeks after your last day of course attendance.
Are there any specific characteristics to take into consideration when finding a client for my Obesity & Diabetes Case study? Yes, your chosen candidate will need to have a BMI of 30 or over and no other contra indications to exercise.
If we have already sat and passed the Anatomy and physiology exam at Level 3 do we need to do it again for GP & Exercise Referral? No, L3 A&P can be used as recognition of prior learning. You must provide evidence of this to your assessor on the day of assessment if this is the case. |
