Strength & Sports Conditioning Course Overview:
Working with fitness professionals to increase their strength and speed (power) and developing sports specific training approaches for individual sporting disciplines, offers enormous potential for fitness professionals to enter into a new and rapidly expanding field of strength and sports conditioning coaching.
Performance in sport is everything and many athletes fail to reach their potential because they place too much emphasis on the technical aspect of their discipline and insufficient attention to their physical preparation. This course will allow you to fill this untapped market place and allow you to improve the strength, power and resilience to injury for specific sporting disciplines.
The human physiology and biomechanics taught on this course will enable you to increase the sporting performance of your clients by analysing the requirements of different sports on different areas of the body in terms of energy demands, power, speed, endurance, flexibility and agility and matching this to body movement and a planned skill development programme for improving movement quality. You will also learn how to develop an exercise plan which will include sports specific (and none sport specific) strength and conditioning.
