What certificates will I receive?
Upon completion students will receive a Discovery Learning REPS Indoor Cycling certificate and awarded 10 REPS points.
Is this course recognised?
Yes all Discovery Learning courses are independently accredited. The Awarding Organisation for this course is Skills Active the Sector Skills Council for Health and Fitness. This means that this course is recognised throughout the UK and your REP’s insurance will cover you to teach this subject.
The beauty of Indoor cycling is that it can be enjoyed by almost all people. Spinning can be used as a highly motivational group activity where endurance programmes and high intensity workouts can lead to great results. Indoor cycling may be used for gentle rehabilitation work in a group setting enabling people of all abilities to work together and realise the benefits and social aspect of group workouts. This approach works well in a weight management and obesity setting and having a REPs certificate in Indoor Cycling (Spinning) CPD will significantly enhance your repertoire of exercise options.
What will I learn?
This course will teach the learner how to develop into a competent and confident instructor whom is able to plan and instruct indoor cycling based group sessions. They will learn how to plan, teach and evaluate a safe and effective group indoor cycling session, appropriate health & safety considerations related to setting up an indoor cycling class, programming principles for personal trainers, different approaches and techniques to spin classes and even how to effectively use music to assist your indoor cycling sessions.
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for any fitness professional whom holds a level 2 fitness qualification or higher. It is in particular suitable for those who wish to further enhance their fitness knowledge, particularly those who wish to run their own indoor cycling classes.
What are the pre-requisites?
To be eligible for this course learners must hold a recognised Level 2 fitness qualification and provide a copy of the certificate as proof. A reasonable level of fitness and reading and writing skills is also recommended.
How Long is the course?
This course lasts for one full day (9am until 5pm).

This CPD course is being run in 5 of our current fitness venues; our locations in Birmingham, West London, Nottingham, Bournemouth and Manchester.
What assessments will I complete?
This course requires 3 hours of pre-reading, followed by a mandatory attendance day with a practical assessment to take place on the day.
What support will I get?
Once booked on to the course learners will be given access to the student zone so they can familiarise themselves with the syllabus, they will also given the contact details for our student support team who will assist them with any problems outside of the classroom, and our in house tutors will be there to support you on the day of your course.
