We understand the unique conditions associated with life in the military and subsequently offer the most flexible approach to learning. An exclusive arrangement that you will be entitled to is our offer of free and unlimited transfer of course dates for those still serving (to allow for deployment and other ever changing circumstances).

 

We provide full and part time courses at nine bases around the UK and can arrange assistance in finding accommodation near to most of our venues. All of our venues have outstanding tutors and we have full time venues in the following locations

• Manchester Academy

We also offer part time courses which involve a certain amount of home study backed up by several practical tutorial days led by top tutors in the industry. Our part time courses run from all of the above venues and additionally from:

The health and fitness industry offers a wealth of opportunity for military personnel and service leavers can expect favourable employment status. Once qualified, Discovery Learning will support you in finding a job using our close links with the UK's leading fitness companies. As a National Skills Academy Centre of Excellence, our graduates are highly respected in the industry. We only use the top awarding bodies (Central YMCA & Active IQ ) and on completion you will be eligible to join the national Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).

The fastest route to becoming a Personal Trainer is our Full Time Advanced Personal Trainer Course (including a free upgrade to Master Level 4) This six week course includes everything that you need to be a top PT in the UK:

• L2 Gym Instructor certificate;
• Level 3 Personal Trainer certificate;
• Emergency First Aid certificate;
• Master Module - you choose between GP Exercise referral, or Strength and Sports Conditioning or Club Fitness
• Level 4 Obesity and Diabetes Management (you will go on Level 4 on the REPS register)
