What certificates will I receive?
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing - Exercise to Music.
You will be able to register yourself with REPs at Level 2 and gain 20 REPs points.
Is this course recognised?
All Discovery Learning courses are recognised and accredited with REPs. The Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing – Exercise to Music is a YMCA Awards qualification and is accredited with Skills Active, recognised internationally.
What are the pre-requisites?
There are no pre-requisites though a reasonable level of fitness, experience attending studio sessions,good written and communication skills are recommended.
The Exercise to Music qualification is an entry Level 2 qualification that will enable you to plan and deliver exercise classes in a group environment. If you enjoy exercising to music and motivating groups of people to get fit then this is the course for you. You will typically work in a health club and earn per class you teach.

Who is this course for?
This course is for people looking to enter the fitness industry with a preferred interest in teaching group exercise to music. You don’t need to have any prior qualifications as this is an entry level qualification. Once you have this qualification you can organise your own exercise routines or continue your training and go down the route of Les Mills and teach these ever-popular classes in the majority of health clubs. It is also a great qualification to have if you are thinking about pursuing Pilates, Yoga or Indoor Cycling (spin).
How long is the exercise to music course?
This course is part time and consists of 4 weeks home learning followed by 5 days attendance spread over 3 months. You will complete 1 weekend per month with approximately 4 weeks between each weekend. The last weekend will just be 1 day where you will complete your practical exam. For your practical exam you will need to need to bring in 2 participants to take part in the assessment.
